Village Residence

This project celebrates the life of the owner’s son, who went missing on September 11. The home had been purchased to provide a restful place for family to gather; renovation and expansion created the opportunity for an entirely new landscape. Outdoor rooms were established in keeping with the owner’s vision and needs—a small lawn to serve as a putting green, a gravel parking court, a rose arbor allee, a wildflower meadow, and a meditation garden were all created within the small village site, to the delight of the family.
