Hillside Courtyard

The owner requested a natural outdoor experience, one that was not “tight” or “hard” and that would include open areas of play for children. A curvaceous court, stone walkways, and seasonal plantings were designed to meet those needs. Existing overgrown tree groupings were edited for structural clarity in the lower meadow, and additional trees were installed to mitigate the massive proportions of the entry procession.
